What is Porchfest? Porchfests are annual grassroots music festivals where cities close their streets to automobiles, allowing homeowners and businesses to transform their porches into stages for musicians. Roads become walkways, creating an immersive experience where attendees can enjoy live music, scrumptious food, community, and family activities. This year is Newnan’s second Porchfest.
What is Newnan Porchfest like? Newnan’s Porchfest debuted in the City of Homes in 2025, drawing an incredible crowd of over 10,000 attendees. They invite guests to walk around downtown and experience the sounds of the city. On what makes our Porchfest special, festival organizer Melody Kiser said, “Newnan Porchfest is currently the only Porchfest that is privately run by musicians...It’s unique in that way but it’s crazy in that way.”
Is ChildrenConnect open during Porchfest? Yes. Newnan’s Porchfest will host their Kid’s Zone at ChildrenConnect Museum. Doors are open from Noon-6pm with free admission to the building. Supervised children can make a musical craft and check out the newest updates in the museum. Music will be in the neighboring gazebo with Love, Laura Lee playing from Noon-1pm, and the Grassroots Children’s Music Band, 7,000 Amps, from 1pm-2pm. In addition to the music and our every day offerings, there will be activities outside for children and families to enjoy, such as: balloon animals, jewelry-making, splatter painting, an instrument zoo, and more!
What should I bring to Porchfest? We suggest bringing lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on, as well as sunscreen and bug spray. You don’t need to worry about food or drinks, there will be over ten food and beverage trucks. Mmake sure to bring your appetite! This event is family and dog-friendly.
A Note About Parking: Due to Newnan’s infrastructure, there will be limited street parking. If you can’t find a spot, head over to the Newnan Train Depot overflow parking area. As with any large event, make sure to factor parking time into your schedule. If you are coming from out of town or want to avoid driving all together, organizers suggest staying in one of the nearby hotels partnered with Porchfest and/or ride-sharing.
Festival organizers suggest that anyone who needs reserved parking should purchase Porchfest VIP tickets.
These all-access passes also include:
Complimentary breakfast and beverages at the Newnan-Coweta History Center
Discounts on Newnan-Coweta History Center museum memberships and merchandise
Guided Newnan-Coweta History Center museum tours and access to private historic gardens, where actors share the unique history of each location

Collectible souvenir VIP badges
Private restrooms
Who benefits from Porchfest? All proceeds from Newnan Porchfest benefit the Newnan-Coweta History Center (NCHC).
